As part of the “Lecture at the Museum” project, another fascinating topic was presented. In a lecture delivered by Mehbara Abbasova, Head of the Innovation Department of ANMA, the main artistic features of Romanticism — a movement that spread widely in Europe from the late 18th to the 19th century — were discussed, along with the distinctive characteristics of Romanticism in Germany, France, and Russia. The presentation also offered a detailed discussion of the works by prominent artists such as Friedrich August von Kaulbach, Vasily Tropinin, Karl Bryullov, Konstantin Makovsky, and Ivan Aivazovsky, which are preserved in the museum’s collection. The insightful analyses and the presentation featuring photographs of works from the ANMA exposition drew great interest from the audience.
