On March 12, a lecture titled “The Creative Work of People’s Artist Davud Kazimov” was held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art as part of the “Lecture at the Museum” project.
The lecture, organized within the framework of the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding artist Davud Kazimov, was delivered by Bakhtiyar Yusufov — Associate Professor of the Academic Painting and Composition Department at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, artist, and Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies.
At the event, speeches were delivered by the Head of the Academic Painting and Composition Department, Associate Professor Ramil Mammadov, and senior lecturer of the same department Anar Aliyev.
The speakers provided detailed information about the rich creative heritage of the distinguished artist, the stylistic features of his works, stages of his artistic career, and the artworks presented at the exhibition. The artist’s son, Professor Akif Kazimov, shared his personal memories of the artist with the audience.
Participants, who became closely acquainted with the vast creative world of Davud Kazimov, received the lecture with great interest.
