On January 13, an immersive performance called "Ode of love: Ali and Nino's ball" based on the world-famous novel "Ali and Nino" by the writer Gurban Said was held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. This unique play, which tells about an unforgettable love story, directed by Ilgar Safat, was presented by the actors of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater. Murad Ismayilov and Sama Valiyeva performed the roles of Ali and Nino. Honored artists of Azerbaijan Magsud Mammadov, Salman Bayramov, Elmira Aslanova and Yelena Spitsyna took part in other roles. The stage designer of the performance is Mustafa Mustafayev, the choreographer is Nigar Rzayeva. Based on the motifs of the work, staging belongs to Valentina Reznikova.
The ball took its participants on a journey to a mystical atmosphere where the different values of the East and the West were united. Each guest became a part of this unique night and felt like a hero of an eternal love story. The night, when the guests participated in costumes reflecting the Eastern elegance and European elegance, benefiting from the clothing fashion of the era of Ali and Nino, created a wonderful atmosphere in the museum. They performed small scenes and dances of the period from the play "Ali and Nino" currently being played on the stage of the theater. At the end of the Immersive performance, which was attended by Murad Huseynov, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jahangir Salimkhanov, the minister's adviser, and other well-known figures, Shirin Malikova, the director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, expressed her gratitude to the actors and guests and expressed her hope that such interesting and unique events will continue in such a beautiful art space.
