Greeting the event participants, the museum's director, PhD in Art History Shirin Malikova, noted that a new exhibit is a significant event for any museum. She mentioned that this work, which is part of Aydan Salahova's original artistic thinking, is a valuable gift to the museum. It was emphasized that the artist has directed her creative search into the depths of modernity, dedicating herself to contemporary art. This approach is evident not only in her methods but also in the themes she addresses. One of the key themes in her work is the Eastern woman, her place in society, rights, and future.

Aydan Salahova’s works, which are constantly evolving through experiments and finding new forms for expressing her thoughts, are met with great interest at contemporary art exhibitions. Among them are her works showcased in exhibition halls in Russia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries, as well as at the Venice Biennale.

The works of Aydan Salahova are now held in prestigious galleries such as the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Museum of Contemporary Art, galleries in Rome and New York, as well as in private collections.

The event continued under the moderation of renowned art theorist, PhD in Philosophy, Teymur Daimi. He extensively discussed the uniqueness of Aydan Salahova’s phenomenon and mentioned that her multi-layered works hold a place among the selected ones in contemporary art.

In a dialogue format, the artist Aydan Salahova shared interesting moments from her life and creative journey with the audience and spoke about her work "Void," created in 2022 in Baku. She expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art for including this work in its collection. The author also answered questions from guests interested in her works.
