An article by Shirin Melikova, Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art and PhD in Art History, has been published in issue No. 4 of the Russian journal Museum.

The article entitled “New Generation Museums in the Gulf Countries: Architecture, Narrative and the Experience Industry” analyzes the interaction between architecture, exhibition solutions and multimedia technologies in contemporary museums, using the leading museums of the UAE and Qatar as examples. The article particularly emphasizes the role of museums in shaping national identity, cultural diplomacy and creating an international image.
