On December 3, 2024, a press conference for media representatives was held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art (ANMA) dedicated to the presentation of the project "Fireplaces of the Palace of De Boure". The project was organized by the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "the Mission "Goodness" programme of "The Inspirers. The Time for Good Deeds Forum" project of the Russian House in Baku, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Association of Volunteer Centers.

The museum director, PhD in art history Shirin Melikova spoke about the Palace of De Boure, one of the historical buildings where houses the ANMA, as well as the fireplaces that play an important role in its luxurious interiors. She emphasized that this scientific research project, implemented with the participation of invited specialists from the Keramarkh Museum of Architectural Art Ceramics (Russia), is of particular importance for the museum. Volunteers – experts in the field of ceramic production – Director of the Museum of Architectural Art Ceramics "Keramarkh" Konstantin Likholat, scientific consultant of the Museum of Architectural Art Ceramics in St. Petersburg Andrey Rodenkov and curator of the Museum of Architectural Art Ceramics "Keramarkh" Maria Makogonova arrived in Baku to implement the project.

The specialists plan to hold a series of meetings, inspect the interiors of the Palace of De Boure, study the funds of the ANMA, conduct photographic recording of the stoves, measurements, inspection and scanning of fireplace elements. According to the director of the ANMA, the joint work of Russian volunteers and their Azerbaijani colleagues will make it possible to achieve progress in the field of attribution of fireplaces and stoves in the museum building.

Shirin Melikova also acquainted the media representatives with the programme of lectures on architectural artistic ceramics, which are planned within the framework of the project and will be held at the ANMA. Thus, on December 4 at 19:00 there will be a lecture on "Restoration of architectural ceramics.Technology. Examples" (K.V. Likholat), on December 5 at 17:00 there will be a lecture on "Basic approaches to exposition and collection activities" (M.L. Makogonova), and on December 7 at 17:00 - a lecture on "Review of publishing projects of the Keramarkh Museum" (A.I. Rodenkov).  Entrance to the lectures is free for everyone.

The head of the Russian House in Baku, Irek Zinnurov, noted in his speech that the projects implemented by the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art are of an important educational nature. He emphasized that such programmes, which play an important role in the development of Russian-Azerbaijani cultural ties, will always be supported by the Russian House.

Director of the Museum of Architectural Art Ceramics "Keramarkh" and the restoration and production company "Pallada" Konstantin Likholat expressed gratitude to the director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art Shirin Melikova and the head of the Russian House in Baku Irek Zinnurov for the invitation to Baku. He told about the restoration works carried out by the company he leads, and also touched upon the history of fireplaces and stoves in general.

The Russian specialist also noted that Azerbaijan has unique examples of tiled ceramic art, and their study will provide a prerequisite for holding joint international scientific conferences on this topic and may later result in the publication of an illustrated edition about the most interesting examples of stoves and fireplaces that museum and private collections in Baku have. In conclusion of his speech, Konstantin Likholat donated several books and miniature models of fireplaces to the museum.
