From April 23 to 25, 2025, the Third Edition of the UNESCO High-Level Forum on Museums was held in Hangzhou, People's Republic of China. Azerbaijan was represented at this international event by Shirin Malikova, Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, PhD in Art History and Associate Professor.

The global forum brought together museum directors, culture and education specialists, representatives of international organizations, and digital technology experts to discuss key topics such as the role of museums in contemporary societies, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the implementation of new technologies in museum practices.
