On February 26, a screening of the documentary film “Karabakhname”, produced by the Azerbaijantelefilm Creative Union, took place at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art within the framework of the “Cinema at the Museum” project.
The event, organized by the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art with the support of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department, featured speeches by Honored Cultural Worker and film scholar Aydin Kazimzadeh, People’s Writer Natiq Rasulzadeh, Honored Journalist Etibar Babayev, the film’s director Elnura Kazimova, and People’s Artist, Professor Arif Huseynov. The speakers emphasized the importance of the film in preserving the historical memory of Karabakh, presenting national cultural heritage through documentary cinema, and transmitting it to future generations.
Afterwards, the guests watched the film based on Arif Huseynov’s graphic series “Karabakhname – Pages of History.” The film creates an artistic bridge between the past and the present by presenting the rich history and cultural memory of Karabakh through a synthesis of visual art and cinematic language.
The film evoked deep emotional impressions among the audience regarding the historical and cultural heritage of Karabakh.
