On February 25, a screening of the feature film “Native Land” directed by Ilgar Safat took place at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art within the framework of the “Cinema at the Museum” project.
The film presents themes of attachment to the homeland, the memory of the land, and human destinies through an artistic cinematic language. Offering a personal perspective on the Karabakh theme, the film reminds viewers of historical realities while also conveying the spiritual value of returning to one’s native land.
During the screening, the memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy was honored with deep respect, and the importance of preserving historical memory through cinema was emphasized.
At the end of the event, a meeting with the director was held, where opinions about the film were shared and questions of interest to the audience were answered.
