On May 17, the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art hosted the screening of the art-documentary film "Paradise Dream", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the prominent painter and founder of national realist easel painting, Mirza Gadim Iravani.
Welcoming the film’s creative team and the audience, the museum's director, Shirin Malikovа, noted that the screening was held as part of International Museum Day on May 18. She emphasized that the film, which explores Iravani’s life and unique artistic legacy, is a valuable contribution to the anniversary year.
Honored Art Worker and film director Elkhan Jafarov spoke about the significance of the film, the filming process, its central storyline, and various other aspects that illuminate the life and brilliant creative journey of the great artist.
Following the screening — which was met with great interest — the audience's questions were answered,
and memory photos were taken with the creative team.
It should be noted that the film was produced by order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan as part of the “Creative Azerbaijan” Action Plan. The film was directed by Elkhan Jafarov, written by Yaver Rzayev, with Ruslan Agazade as director of photography and Sabuhi Atababayev as production designer.
