May 5 – Carpet Weaver’s Day
A lecture titled “The History of Carpet Weaving in Azerbaijan” will be held, providing information about the meaning of national ornaments and their stages of development. The program will also include a thematic guided tour and a workshop offering a closer look at carpet weaving traditions.
May 6 – 90th Anniversary of ANMA
The lecture “The History of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art” will present the museum’s development path and formation stages. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the museum’s collection through a thematic interactive tour and a workshop.
May 9 – Victory Day over Fascism
A lecture dedicated to this day will highlight the reflection of the World War II period in art and issues of historical memory. A thematic tour and workshop will present artistic interpretations of the topic.
May 10 – 103rd Anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
The lecture “National Leader Heydar Aliyev – Patron of Children” will focus on his state activity and contributions to culture. The program will also include a screening of the documentary “Heydar Aliyev – A Great Personality,” along with a thematic tour and workshop.
May 10 – Flower Festival
This program, reflecting the beauty of spring and nature, will include a thematic tour and information about the role of floral motifs in visual art. During the workshop, participants will engage in creative activities inspired by this theme.
May 19 – “International Day for Monuments and Sites – Our Cultural Heritage”
An interactive program organized within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF) will feature an educational presentation about monuments of the world and Azerbaijan. The event will continue with a thematic tour emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
May 28 – Independence Day
The lecture dedicated to this day will provide information about the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and traditions of statehood. The program will include a screening of the short film “May 28th,” as well as a thematic tour and workshop.
