World Art

The museum boasts a collection of over 8,000 world art exhibits. This includes both fine and decorative-applied works from Western Europe, Russia, and Eastern countries. The Western European collection features rare examples of art from countries such as Italy, Flanders, Holland, Germany, and France, spanning the XVI to XX centuries. Additionally, there are Oriental miniatures renowned for their exquisite design and beauty, along with fine art embroidery, clothing, carpets, ceramics, metalwork, and wood carvings from ancient cultures like Turkey and Iran. The collection also showcases works that reflect the unique artistic traditions of China, Japan, and India. Furthermore, the rich collection of Russian art encompasses its development from the 17th to the 20th centuries, with selected examples of avant-garde art that are recognized as a significant phenomenon in 20th-century Russian art, forming a distinct part of this collection.

Russian Art of the XVIII-XX centuries

The museum boasts a rich collection of Russian art from the XVIII to the XX centuries. It features works by renowned artists such as I.P. Argunov, F.S. Rokotov, V.L. Borovikovsky, V.A. Tropinin, K.P. Bryulov, I.I. Shishkin, F.A. Pukirev, and V.V. Vereshchagin, all of whom are prominent figures in the classical school of painting. Additionally, the collection includes significant contributions from notable XX century artists like I.I. Kulikov, L.M. Lisitsky, and K.A. Malevich. Oriental Art

A large portion of the museum's collection features works from Eastern countries, including Turkey, Iran, China, Japan, and India. The collection showcases exquisitely crafted miniatures, wall panels that beautifully blend illustration and calligraphy, vibrant and elegant carpets and embroideries, ceramics known for their perfect color combinations and intricate designs, as well as inlaid household items and other examples of decorative and applied arts. These items vividly represent the unique Oriental craftsmanship traditions.
