On December 19, another interesting topic was presented to the audience within the framework of the "Lecture in the Museum" project. In the lecture entitled "Russian avant-garde in the museum`s collection" presented by the head of the innovation department of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, art critic Mahbara Abbasova, was told about the emergence and development of the Russian avant-garde movement, which emerged at the beginning of the 20th century and crossed the boundaries of traditional art, influenced world culture with its revolutionary approaches.She also told about M. Matushin, K. Malevich, A. Lentulov, V. Kandinsky, L. Lisitsky, N. Suyetin and its other prominent representatives. In her speech, the speaker told extensively about the works of avant-garde artists, such as V. Kandinsky and his wife N. Kandinsky, A. Lentulov, L. Lisitsky, whose works are included in the museum's collection.
