In the National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan, another interesting report entitled "The Image of the St Mary the Virgin in Fine Art" was heard within the framework of the "Lecture in the Museum" project. In the lecture presented by Shohrat Majnunova, the head of the Painting Department of the Foundation Department of ANMA, the main aspects of the iconography of the Mother of Mary were emphasized in medieval Byzantine art, Russian icons, especially in the works of genius artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael Santi during the Renaissance period in Western Europe. On the basis of the collection of the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan, the speaker conducted a wide artistic analysis of the works of R. Santi, B. E. Murillo, V. Kandinsky and other world-famous artists reflecting the theme.
