As part of the events dedicated to September 27 — Memorial Day, the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art hosted a lecture titled “The Road to Victory.”
The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs.
Head of the Museum’s Exhibition and Design Department, art critic Asad Guliyev, spoke about the artistic representations of the heroes of the Patriotic War. He emphasized the importance of these artworks in preserving national memory and passing it on to future generations.
The Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the Public Union “Disabled Veterans and Families of Martyrs of the Karabakh War,” Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Bahram Sheydayev, in his speech noted that September 27 is a historic day when the Azerbaijani people demonstrated their strength and love for the Motherland to the world. He also spoke about the great moral and spiritual significance of this day for the nation.
Deputy Chairman of the same organization, Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Anar Hasanov, shared memories of his combat experience during the 44-day Patriotic War.
The event concluded with the screening of video clips dedicated to the day when a glorious chapter of our history was written.
