On June 19, as part of the “Lecture in the Museum” project at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, an engaging lecture titled “The Artistic Characteristics of Akif Asgarov’s Creative Work” was presented to the audience.

The lecture was delivered by Roza Hasanova, senior lecturer at the Sculpture Department of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts. The event was held in conjunction with the ongoing exhibition “Resonance of the Soul” by People's Artist Akif Asgarov at the museum.

The speaker provided an in-depth overview of the renowned sculptor’s life, stages of his artistic journey, his key thematic focuses, and the works on display in the exhibition. Roza Hasanova also shared her personal memories related to Akif Asgarov. At the end of the lecture, she answered questions from the audience.

It is worth noting that Roza Hasanova is the author of a dissertation submitted for the PhD degree in Art History titled “Artistic Characteristics of Akif Asgarov’s Creative Work in Azerbaijani Sculpture.”
