As part of the “Lecture in the Museum” project at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, a lecture titled “The Place and Importance of Togrul Narimanbayov in Azerbaijani Painting” was held, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the renowned master painter and People’s Artist, Togrul Narimanbayov.
The lecture was delivered by Vagif Mughanly, senior researcher at the museum’s Exhibition and Design Department and an art expert. He spoke in detail about the rich life and artistic journey of the great master, his distinctive style, his invaluable contributions to Azerbaijani visual art, his works in monumental and easel painting, and the paintings featured in the museum’s collection.
It was emphasized that the works displayed in the exhibition titled “Azerbaijani Painting and Graphics of the 1920s–1980s” are vivid examples of his unique artistic signature.
The lecture, filled with in-depth analysis of the artist's creative legacy — now an integral part of Azerbaijani visual culture — was met with great interest by the audience.
