On May 22, a lecture titled At the Pinnacle of Art: People's Artist Omar Eldarov was held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. The lecture, attended by the master artist himself, was presented by art historian Yegana Movsumova Shiraliyeva, a research fellow at the museum’s Scientific Research Department.

The presentation emphasized that Omar Eldarov’s body of work constitutes a significant part of Azerbaijani visual art. It highlighted his contributions to the art of sculpture, the vivid characters he created, and the high artistic quality of his works. Mention was made of pieces preserved in the museum’s collection, including Elegy, Bust of Heydar Aliyev, Poetess Natavan, Portrait of artist Sattar Bahlulzade, and Four Colors of Time.

Later, the museum’s director, PhD in Art Studies Shirin Malikova, spoke about the uniqueness of Omar Eldarov’s creativity and noted that his monumental works serve as a source of pride not only within Azerbaijan but also abroad. Telman Ibrahimov, head of the museum’s Scientific Research Department and PhD in Art Studies, addressed various aspects of the artist’s life and career.

At the end of the event, People's Artist and academician Omar Eldarov delivered a speech, sharing fascinating memories from his student years and creative journey. He expressed his pleasure at meeting with young people within the framework of this project and wished them success. A commemorative photo was taken with the distinguished sculptor to conclude the event.
