As part of the “Lecture in the Museum” project held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, the latest session was dedicated to the stages of development of Azerbaijani graphic art from the 1920s to the 1980s. The lecture, presented by Gunel Zaur, an art historian and staff member of the museum’s Department of Culture and Education, introduced art enthusiasts to the rich history of graphic arts. The talk provided a comprehensive analysis of stylistic shifts, technical experimentation, and thematic diversity in graphic art over this sixty-year period. Through a wide range of examples—from easel graphics to book illustration and propaganda posters—the lecture examined their main artistic features, technical innovations, and role within the socio-cultural context. The lecture was met with great interest by the audience.
