At the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, the latest event within the "Lecture at the Museum" project was dedicated to works by impressionist painters featured in the ANMA collection. The lecture, presented by Mehbara Abbasova, Head of the Museum’s Innovation Department and art historian, focused on the works of both well-known and lesser-known impressionist artists in world art history. The talk shed light on the artworks of European artists such as Sh. Milsandro, E. Jiran, L. Leman, I. Kern, F. Adolfo, P. Lissak, and F. Bazille, as well as prominent representatives of Russian impressionism like K. Korovin, V. Serov, and L. Pasternak. Additionally, the lecture covered Azerbaijani artists influenced by the impressionist style. Listeners followed with great interest the detailed discussion on the origins of impressionism, its main artistic features, and its significance in the history of art.
