On October 15, 2024, at 16:00 at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art will be held the scientific lecture titled “The Art of the Silk Road”. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. He Zhang, Professor of Art History at William Paterson University, USA, and Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Zhang will provide an insightful overview of key art traditions on the Central Asian part of the ancient Silk Road, spanning from the 2nd century BCE to the Mongol era, with a special focus on the exchange of art styles and the cultural integration of East and West during this period. 
 
The lecture will be conducted in English, with visual materials also available in Azerbaijani. Admission is free.
