On November 19, the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Art Without Borders” was held at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.

The exhibition was jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, and the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. It was held within the framework of the first meeting of the Council of Rectors, which brought together the heads of higher education institutions in the fields of art and painting from Turkic-speaking countries and Hungary, as well as within the program of events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts.

Speeches at the opening ceremony were delivered by Shirin Malikova, Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art; Natig Aliyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts; Salhab Mammadov, Vice-Rector of the Academy; Aidarbek Usukeev, Rector of the T. Sadikov National Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic; Asım Vehbi, Rector of the Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; Arman Judebayev, Rector of the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan; István Eros, Rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts; Yusuf Şengür, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University; and Feruza Abdikhanova, Scientific Secretary of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

In their speeches, they emphasized that the exhibition, consisting of works by students of art universities from Turkic-speaking countries and Hungary, showcases shared cultural values. It was highlighted that such projects, which convey messages of friendship, unity, and cooperation through art, contribute to strengthening cultural ties.

Afterwards, the guests toured the “Art Without Borders” exhibition and the new permanent exhibitions of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.
