As part of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on April 21, 2025, the opening of the exhibition titled "The National Heritage of Azerbaijan Living in Artistic Masterpieces" took place at the Gapar Aitiev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition featured a special section titled “Mirza Gadim Iravani: At the Crossroads of Eastern and Western Artistic Styles”, showcasing selected works from the collection of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. The exhibition is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Mirza Gadim Iravani (1825–1875), a prominent artist who played an invaluable role in the development of 19th-century Azerbaijani visual art.
From April 20 to 25, the Days of Azerbaijani Culture are being held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
These significant cultural days mark a new chapter in the cultural relations between the two countries, offering the brotherly Kyrgyz people a presentation of various facets of Azerbaijani culture.

The exhibition featured a special section titled “Mirza Gadim Iravani: At the Crossroads of Eastern and Western Artistic Styles”, showcasing selected works from the collection of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.
The exhibition is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Mirza Gadim Iravani (1825–1875), a prominent artist who played an invaluable role in the development of 19th-century Azerbaijani visual art.
The main concept of the exhibition is centered around the display of the master’s works preserved in the museum, along with examples of visual and decorative-applied art created in the leading artistic style of his era.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli; First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gulbara Abdikalikova; Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Latif Gandilov; as well as the ambassadors of Iran, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan, and renowned cultural and public figures from both countries.
Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, Shirin Melikova, provided guests with an in-depth overview of the exhibition.
The exhibition attracted great interest from attendees.
