The Khojaly genocide is one of the bloodiest pages in modern Azerbaijani history and one of the gravest crimes committed not only against our people but against all of humanity. The 33rd anniversary of the tragedy will be commemorated with a series of events at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.

The 33rd anniversary of the tragedy will be commemorated with a series of events at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.

On February 26 at 15:00, as part of the "Cinema at the Museum" project, a screening of the documentary film "Children of War" by Shamil Najafzade, an Honored Art Worker, will take place. The film was produced in 2014 by the "Yaddash" Documentary Film Studio at the request of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The scriptwriters of the film are Shamil Najafzade and Sara Oghuz Nezirova. The film tells the story of young children who lost their parents and loved ones during the Armenian-Azerbaijani war, their hardships, and their resilience in the struggle  for survival.

Before the screening, there will be a meeting with the film's cinematographer, Nizami Abbas, an Honored Art Worker.
