On February 26, a screening of the documentary film «Children of War» by director and Honored Artist Shamil Najafzade took place at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art in commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. The film was produced in 2014 at the Yaddash documentary film studio by order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The screenplay was written by Shamil Najafzade and Sara Oguz Nazirova. Before the screening, a meeting was held with the film’s cinematographer and visual director, Honored Artist Nizami Abbas. He shared insights about the film's theme and interesting moments from the filming process with the audience.
The documentary tells the stories of children who lost their parents and loved ones during the Armenia-Azerbaijan war, their hardships, and their resilience in the fight for survival. The film features children who witnessed the Khojaly genocide, recalling those horrific days and sharing their emotions.
