On January 28, the presentation ceremony of the book “LUCIDITY (Dreams about the Director)” by theatre and film director, writer, and screenwriter İlqar Safat took place.

The publication, consisting of philosophical and ontological texts, is devoted to reflections on theatre, dreams, the subconscious, and the director’s mode of thinking. The book includes short prose pieces and autobiographical notes by the author.

The event was accompanied by a concert program. Within the framework of the presentation, discussions were held around the conceptual content of the publication, and at the end the author signed copies of the book for readers.

As part of the event, İlqar Safat’s documentary film “Roots of the Sky” (Səma kökləri), dedicated to Udege shamanism, was also screened. The film depicts a ritual in which a shaman guides the soul of a deceased person to the afterlife. The Udege are one of the small Indigenous peoples living in the Russian Far East.
