Within the framework of the “Art History for Children” project, this week schoolchildren and preschoolers are invited on a fascinating journey into the art of the Far East — to Japan, known as the Land of the Rising Sun, and China, a country with an ancient history.
During the program, children will explore various fields of Japanese art — architecture, sculpture, painting, and ceramics. They will also become acquainted with traditional clothing, customs, and cuisine of the Japanese people, experiencing the unique atmosphere of this culture.
At the same time, participants will immerse themselves in the magical world of Chinese art, learning about the Great Wall of China and other famous monuments, as well as sculpture, painting, ceramics, and calligraphy. The lecture will also cover literature, music, traditional clothing, and tea culture.
During the thematic экскурсия, children will get acquainted with exhibits from the museum’s collection reflecting the art of Japan and China.
As part of the program, a shadow theater performance related to the theme will also be presented.
In one of the most engaging parts of the program — the master class — schoolchildren and preschoolers will learn to create symbolic objects characteristic of these cultures, such as fans, umbrellas, dragon masks, elephant figures, and other decorative elements.
The educational and interactive programs are conducted in Azerbaijani and Russian. You can join the program every weekend at 11:00.
